Religion and Culture
Felcan are not known to be overly religious creatures, although some of them still follow the old ways and can be seen worshipping various nature spirits and/or long dead heros from Felcan mythology. Much about these rites is unknown, but some is preserved in the old tales that Felcan still tell to one another. See The First Story. Felcan culture is one that values a strict moral and behavioural code, however, and any Felcan who steps beyond these limitations is usually severely punished by his or her pack or pride leader or peers. Here is an abbreviated list of a few of the most important "unwritten rules" of Felcan society. 1) No Felcan shall harm another within his pack or pride unless it is within the confines of a carefully supervised power struggle. 2) A Felcan group shall not take by force or otherwise the territory of another group. Such action is considered an act of war. 3) No subordinant member of a pack or pride shall disobey his superiors in any way. Any disagreement shall be formally stated in order to be taken into consideration by the superior. 4) There shall be no fueding between loner Felcan and groups or among loner Felcan. Loner Felcan shall not enter a group's territory unless invited. 5) To kill another Felcan is the biggest offense one may commit. It is punishable by exile. 6) Whenever possible, Felcan shall abstain from eating other sentient life forms. Any life forms within a Felcan's territory are considered fair game, however.
7) A carcass is fair property of whoever killed it. When a group kill is made, the highest ranking individuals and cubs shall eat first.

The Felcan language is a relatively simple one, and has a vocabulary that is mostly limited to natural things. They have no word for most of the things crafted by humans, and will use the English word when their vocabulary is lacking. Adlana is learning more about Felkaneper, as they call it, every day, so keep checking back for new things that have been added to the lists.
