| Crystal Unicorns |
| The path continues on even farther past the second meadow of Crystal Unicorns, so you follow it curiously. Are there even more of them somewhere in the area? You dearly hope so, for you have fallen in love with this wonderful breed of unicorn. You go across a flat open area and find yourself standing beside a small stream. Up ahead, you are gladdened to see another unicorn, this one a wonderful light brown with a mane and tail color that looks very familiar. The unicorn lifts her head from where she had bent to take a drink from the stream and smiles when she sees you. "Hello there, traveler," she says immediately. "You may take a drink from my stream if you like. It is cool clear water." You look at her, puzzled and strangely reminded of a conversation you have had before. She sees your expression and laughs. "Perhaps you have met my mother and father already? I am told that I am very like both of them, a perfect combination of both. My mane and tail are taken directly from my mother, Zeltick'Wyza, and I am told that I often act like my father, Ros'Perf. My name is Quis'Arlaa, which means Earth Spirit. You may call me Arlaa if you like." She nods. "I have met many Crystal Unicorns here in the Forest," you comment. "Indeed, the population here seems to grow everyday," she answers with another lighthearted chuckle. "There is something about these woods that is so inviting, don't you think? You must have wandered far in them." "The Forest is indeed beautiful," you say. Suddenly, yet another Crystal trots over to Arlaa and nickers cheerfully. This one is a lovely dark brown paint with deep purple eyes. "How went the gallop around the Unicorn territory?" Arlaa asks the new arrival. "Very well," the mare answers. "Another traveler passing through?" she asks, looking at you. "I am Fahl'Dayfi." "An honor to meet you," you reply. "It's nice that Arlaa has a friend to share this lovely place with." Fahl'Dayfi nods, looking amused. "True, even if she is painfully polite sometimes." Arlaa laughs, flicking her green tail with amusement. "Well, we should let you continue on your journey, traveler. Return again sometime if you wish." Arlaa nods her head and walks slowly away, calling back, "Good luck on your travels!" The other mare trots off in a different direction, leaving you alone in the meadow. |
